No new taxes pledge
Conservative candidate Cllr Rob Waltham has committed to raising no new taxes if he is elected Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire.
Where Labour Mayors have been elected in Leeds and Manchester a Mayoral tax has been raised on local people.
Cllr Waltham, who leads North Lincolnshire Council, one of of the highest performing councils in the country, has a strong record of keeping Council Tax low and in some years not increasing it at all.
Rob says: “As a council leader I have a strong track record of keeping Council Tax as low as possible.
“If elected, I will fight from day one to ensure Lincolnshire gets its fair share – we have been forgotten long enough.
“I am determined to make sure that we create an investment plan that has a positive impact for everyone in Greater Lincolnshire.”
