Conservative Ladies’ Spring Lunch
Thirty ladies attended a Spring lunch at the North Shore Hotel, Skegness, with guest speaker Annunziata Rees-Mogg, head of communications for Popular Conservatism.
The event was organised by Skegness Branch fundraising committee member Rosie Sharp.
An excellent two-course lunch was served in the conservatory at the hotel. It was a fitting location for a Spring lunch on a very sunny day.
Raffle prizes of bottles of champagne were donated by owners of various hostelries in the town – Ashley Boxall (Heron’s Mead), Richard and Robert Hall and Keith Hussey. A carvery meal for two was donated by the North Shore Hotel.
After socialising with those present, Annunziata gave an inspiring speech on the lack of democracy in present times, when we are ruled by unelected bureaucrats.
Many of those present had not attended a Conservative event before and therefore, apart from its being a money raising venture, it is hoped that the occasion will attract a different group to attend local events and join the party.
