CHART-TOPPING pop singer Ricky Valance will headline at Skegness Conservatives’ Autumn Ball at the town’s Suncastle on Saturday, October 24.
Welsh-born Ricky Valance is best known for his number one single Tell Laura I Love Her which sold more than a million copies in 1960.
His further singles included Movin' Away, Jimmy's Girl and Six Boys. Jimmy’s Girl sold more than 100,000 copies and Movin’ Away made it to number one in Australia and Scandinavia, with 150,000 copies sold.
Ricky’s appearance, with supporting show, will be the highlight of the annual charity ball. MC will be popular local comedian Sid Dennis and the DJ will be Nic Dennis.
There will be a three course dinner and a charity auction in aid of the Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust. Money raised will go to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service.
Matt Warman MP will be among the guests attending the ball.
