Local Conservatives broke the turf at the new Chestnut Homes development, bringing jobs, quality housing and a new stadium for Boston United to the area.
This development, called the Quadrant, has been long in the planning and despite many setbacks Chestnut homes have got the project up and running. The ceremony today marks the formal commencement of the construction of the first phase of the Quadrant development is a real case of local developers working in partnership with the local Conservative controlled council to bring a distributor road, bypassing Boston.
Whilst we offer our commiserations to BUFC for their exit from the play-offs yesterday, the future of the local football team is looking good with a new stadium as part of this development. As well as this, a large conferencing facility and sports and training venue is planned as part of the stadium and we are very excited to see this development completed.
Peter Bedford, the man in the digger, is the Conservative Leader of Boston Borough Council and officially broke the ground. Matt Warman MP and David Newton (MD of Chestnut Homes) delivered speeches to the crowd of onlookers.
Matt had this to say;
"Since my election I have seen my role as championing what our area needs at the highest level of government.
That's why we've had both the roads minister and the housing minister visit Boston. The breaking ground ceremony at the Quadrant today marks the start of the distributor road infrastructure Boston needs and deserves.
The cooperative working between landowners, developers and local authorities has resulted in a project praised by the housing minister for putting support infrastructure at its heart. It was a huge pleasure for me to be part of a genuinely significant day in the town's development."
