Matt Warman was first elected in 2015. A local candidate committed to improving our NHS and our transport links as well as dealing with immigration and the EU, you can find more information about Matt on Facebook and on his website. Along with local councillors and activists, Matt is frequently campaigning in the constituency, and we’ll post a selection of pictures of our recent activities on this page. Reelected in 2017 winning 63.6% of the vote (27,271) which is 19.8% up from 2015 and giving the Conservatives and Matt a majority of nearly 17,000 votes!

The State Pension Rises Again

Today, the Basic State Pension increases to £119.30 a week, the biggest real-terms rise in 15 years.

Because of our triple lock, we have ensured that the state pension rises every year in line with wages, prices or by 2.5% – whichever is highest.

So the full basic state pension is now £1,125 a year higher than it was in 2010. That’s only possible because we’re taking the difficult decisions so that we can deliver dignity and security for those in retirement.
